“NATE AUTO CARE” AKA “BRONX AUTO SERVICES” FRAUD & SCAM ARTIST!!
I have recently purchased this 2017 Toyota certified vehicle , Upon expiration of the Temporary Inspection, I took the vehicle to "Bronx Auto Service" aka "Nates Auto Care” for NYS Inspection.
After the Inspection was done Nate, informed me my vehicle has failed the “Safety Test” & Also there are other repair required as there was an active recall (showed me a fake recall paper) on this car. He told me, he can fix the issues with a very reasonable price. Didn’t add any details on the receipt for failure, & told me "its failed because there are some rust on the rotor". When I asked exactly where? He pointed out to the exterior of the rotor. I questioned is that a valid ground for safety failure? He said yes & said for $276 - he will take care of it & I can walk with a PASS sticker.
I told him- I had full warranty on the vehicle, so I’ll take it back to the dealership. I went back to the dealership, right away. They had the vehicle inspected by 3 former NYS Inspectors & found nothing wrong. Toyota technicians then called Nate to explain why he failed the inspection. He didn’t have any answer.
Then, on the same day I took the vehicle to another station one block down (Pep Boys Auto). As suspected, Upon inspection - they found no issues with the vehicle & PASS the inspection.
Nate, As local business owner, earn your bucks honestly!! Just like most of us are doing. I had a sick child at home that day, you wasted 6 hours of my time.
You will be getting an invoice from me. “I’ll give you a good deal”. I will charge you only $150 an hour. (6 hrs x $150 = $900 you OWE me).
