went in for two wisdom tooth extractions. a couple of days later i had something sharp sticking out of the one socket. was told it was a part of my jawbone and they performed another procedure to file the bone down and stitch the gum over it. eventually the gum receded and the "bone" was out again. this was over 2 years ago. today i went to a different dentist who took an x-ray and found half the wisdom tooth was still there! it was not bone, its the tooth! I had the half of a tooth they left in there removed today. these people dont know the difference between teeth and bone???
