We are former customers of Leather Creations and have enjoyed our sofa, though lately, due to injuries, it causes us pain to sit on. A dear friend of ours is retiring from teaching for over 40 years. When she began teaching, we opened our home to her rent-free, so she could save her money up to buy her own house. Now that she is retiring, she sold her house, using the equity to buy a smaller one and move near her family. She wanted to do something from her heart to repay us for being so kind to her but she knew if she told us, we would tell her to keep her money. This friend knew we had a handicapped child who has passed away and the years of caring for our child took a toll on our bodies causing on-going pain. Our friend bought us an electric reclining love-seat so we could sit without so much pain. Robert Wilkens was the sales rep at the Mall of GA store. Rob was VERY aware that the leather he showed our friend for this love-seat would make this a "custom" order. He never informed our friend that there were "standard internet order leathers" that are 100% returnable! He knew very well that the sofa might be returned by us, should it not be what we want and left our friend with the impression that, should this be the case, there would be no problem. Rob knew this was a HUGELY expensive $4000. gift and might be exchanged, yet he took advantage of our friend is. When the sofa arrived, it did not fit in our den or with our decor. We went 3 times to talk with Rob. Rob emailed and spoke to his Regional Sales Mgr, David Delor. David said there would be a 35% restocking fee! (We have the email.) We told our friend this and she was heart-broken and devastated. Again, we went to talk to Rob, he said the restocking fee was now, $1987.98! (We have this in Rob's handwriting.) So, here we are, 6 months later with this love-seat in its original bubble wrap and our dear friend, who worked so very hard for many years to obtain the money that bought this gift from her heart. Buyers, get all about returns and warranty in writing!
