Found out I was grossly overcharged. Right as a storm was rolling in my furnace decided that it would no longer ignite so I called Tipping Hat. The technician told me the part was very expensive and quoted me $1,300 for the fix but with the temperatures dropping into the negative digits that night and only into the 20s the next day I had little choice.
The next day I looked up the part and found if ranging from $250-$300. That means he charged me $1,000 for his 20 min installation. So apparently his going rate is $3,000 per hour. I accepted the quote in good faith so shame on me but definitely the last time I call Tipping Hat.
