We have never missed paying our power bill until this month. Due to me having two surgeries and my husband working 12+ hour days, he forgot to mail it in. Yesterday we came home to our power being turned off. The only notice we received was the one placed on the door when they came to turn it off. The reconnect fee was $290.00 plus the bill with the late fee! We lost all of our groceries also! IS THIS THE WAY THEY TREAT ALL THEIR CUSTOMERS?? The bad thing is we have a transformer or power line across the street that seems to draw the lightening and our power goes out every time it sprinkles or every time the wind blows and it stays off several hours. MAYBE WE SHOULD BILL THEM $290.00! EVERYTIME THIS HAPPENS!!
