About 7 months into living at my apartment I got a notice that my rent was not paid and a late fee was added on. I’ve always paid with money orders and kept my receipts. I called the back of the money order followed the steps and was told the money order cleared on a specific date. I then told mace of this and they said they would need proof of the cleared money order. I also would have to pay the late fee and fee to trace the order. I received the copies of the money orders since two always had to be used. I provided it to mace who were rude about the whole situation as if it were my fault. They reimbursed me the late fee of 50.00. 2 or so months pass and this happens again another notice another late fee. I then have to pay to trace these money orders again. Once they figured it out on their end I started using checks. It was like someone is stealing from you and hoping you won’t have your reciept. They were horrible to deal with never answered phones only wanted to communicate by email.
