I contacted Art Plumbing about the replacement of my Rheem hot water tank. It was 18 years old, working find and my water was clear. Art plumbings recommendation was replacement with State Select, claiming Rheem is made in Mexico. As soon as the unit was installed I noticed my water turned milky and cloudy. I contacted Art Plumbing and was advised to flush out the tank. I did, that didn't work, next Art Plumbing advised changing out the Anrod. They did ad advised if that did not work they will change Anrod to a magnesium rod. That never happened. Art Plumbing sent a tech to check the water supply and he proceeded to flush out the tank. Telling me, If need be he would come back. Instead I received a phone call blaming everything about city water, air in the lines and nothing about the FACT that I never had this problem until they installed the State Select water heater that they recommend. I advised Art Plumbing telling them " You expect me to accept less than I had before.?"
The last communication was a phone telling me to call the company, State Select and that it will clear up. IT NEVER DID! Art Plumbing stopped returning my phone calls. I am left with a hot water tank I am not comfortable with and cloudy water. I have a 2 year contract and my saving grace is I did not go with the 10 year. I would not want to be involved with Art Plumbing that long.
First warning: A company that answers the phone with "How can I make you smile today?" What they are really saying is how can I charge a big fee and provide you with an inferior product. They are the ones smiling, not me.
