went to dr alverz at pain center to discuss hip surgery. after two weeks I contacted doctors they were suppose to contact for clearance, neither had been contacted. made appointments would take two weeks to see the doctors. finally received clearance but was informed that the dr had reviewed my file and I would have to have clearance from yet another dr. contacted that dr and was told it would take at least 2weeks for appointment. contacted pain center and they would do a referral. it still took 1 week. that dr had 11 vials of blood drawn and it would take another week. finally went for follow up and was told he would would give clearance. was contacted by pain clearance but would have to have clearance from yet another doctor, a neurologist . my dr retired but they would do another referral. hummm. it has now been 7 weeks. my hip is so bad I have to walk with crutches. the pain center also insisted that I had to take a class at the pain center ( three hours) or I could not have surgery. the staff also insisted that I purchase my medical supplies across the street and that they accepted medicare, they do not. after some checking I found a supply co just up the road does. hummm,
conclusion -- I no longer have confidence in either the dr or the pain center.
when I told them they asked if I was refusing surgery I said no and they were FIRED. i will find another dr and pain center i feel i can trust.
