The was my second visit to Kindred Bay Area, and I was once again treated with courtesy and respect by all staff members and physicians. The room was ready upon my admission and I actually had a few staff member waiting in the room too greet me when I got in. Some of the employees even recognized me from my last stay, even though having to be admitted to a hospital is never a pleasant experience, the Kindred team made it a smooth and welcoming transition. All staff members are really nice and made sure I thoroughly understood the plan of care and length of stay. Long term care means you'll be in the facility for 3+ weeks, which makes it difficult, but even though I'm at day 29 the staff continue to exceed my expectations. A few of my most favorite workers here have been Penny LVN, Dalila CNA, and Tisha OT - they are each friendly and a positive influence whenever I had a bad day and didn't have much motivation to do a lot. It didn't matter if I was having a bad day, they always made sure they left me feeling uplifted and able to refocus of recovering and pushing forward. Dr. Haddad is great, but unfortunately he is not in-network with my insurance company, I really hope he is added to my plan so that he could be my primary care physician after I'm discharged. I really enjoyed that he was thoughtful and gave me time out of his busy schedule to to talk to him and get details about treatment plans. My husband and I were accommodated by the therapy team, they would leave oxygen tanks so that we could walk the hospital at night and on the weekends. Overall I would come back if needed, and recommend and refer friends and family, thanks again.
