From the minute I came in reception and admissions was on it- knowing my name. Showed me comfort and compassion during my hard time of being here with my dad. Was even patient with me to get settled and check on my dad before doing paperwork. Over all the facility was clean and never smelled. The staff showed kindness and compassion in caring for my dad and me. Thoughtful staff provided me meals sometimes, and barely had to ask for me to eat. Kitchen always made sure I was fed. With me and my dad not asking for much, it's hard to ask but, was a real blessing that they took care of us. Cna got me a sleep sofa to lay on. Staff does not have a problem with me staying her to be here for my dad. It's a big deal. Everyone talked to me like I'm family, and that is so compassionate and kind. I felt like my dad and I was a priority and not a heartship at all. My dad has made great progress and I believe whole heartily that the respiratory team is the best in the nation for weaning patients off their ventilator. My dad is succeeding very well and it all due to respitory team and aids personal touch and doctors. The nurses are amazing. Every single one of the nurses are a blessing, blessing, blessing. The aids should be paid much more for all they do. Physical therapy nurses help my dad with low mobility at this time, and are very compassionate toward my dad's social inadiquicies, and lack of wanting to speak. They are so heart warming it brought me to tears today. Speech therapy is just getting ready to find out all the bad words my dad knows. LOL!! We are down to the wire with our stay here, and I will look in the rear view mirror in life and remember the faces of the people that helped my dad come back to me, and helped my dad be himself again, while overcoming his stroke.
