To any and all wound care patients. My name is David, from Tyler, Texas. I am writing this 100% voluntary message on behalf of Kindred Hospital Dallas Central. I write this in hopes of helping someone else, as Kindred Hospital has helped me. First of all, let me tell you about me. I have had a stage four wound on my right buttocks for 10 years. I was told by qualified physicians that I had developed a non-healing wound which left me with no hope of ever being healed. After staying in the local hospital in Tyler, TX 3 weeks being treated only with antibiotics, I was transferred by ambulance to Kindred Hospital Dallas Central. I arrived 10/11/2017 at 11pm with no idea what was about to happen to me. The first thing the following day, they changed my bed to a Clinitron bed (air/sand/water). They installed a wound vac and began antibiotics, checking my blood daily. They also included with my meals, 2 supplements (Ensure & Joven). Along with my food, which is fabulous, I was told by Dr. Park, my primary doctor and Dr. Moran, my wound care specialist, that my responsibility was to EAT (not too bad, huh?). And that any smoking would stop my healing (which I don't anyway). Through these weeks we began to see progress, the 3 1/2" diameter and apps. 3-3 1/2" deep wound is now the size of a nickel and approx. 3/4-1" deep. Ladies and Gentleman who read this, that was absolutely amazing! This all happened due to the staff of this wonderful hospital, from the very well qualified physicians, who are extremely patient and who spent time talking with me about my progress. The Wound Care specialists, all my nurses, Tech's and the wonderful workers who cleaned my room are all devoted to my healing. I have been in several local hospitals, which are good; however, I must say that for me, having a healing wound from a stage four where I could feel the bone and is been transformed to 90% healed by this life-giving five-star Hospital. If you are ready, this is the place to go. I have written this with truth and honesty. God Bless you!
