Knee infection 10/31/2017

Went to Urgent Care Clinic of Waikiki on October 19, 2017. Expecting a long wait but the only wait I had was only as long as the time it took to fill out the forms - like any other facility. No big deal. The staff (all these wonderful gals) were very patient and professional. By the time I had filled out the information needed Dr. Shoja came out to greet me. She took a look at my banged up and swollen knee area and prescribed antibiotics. She told me should the red area (infecton) go pass the present area, I should immediately go to the closest ER. She had her staff call in the prescription to Longs Drugs and that was it. She wanted a follow up (which I plan to do) after the antibiotics took affect. As of this writing, my knee had vastly recovered and I plan to make an appointment to see Dr. Shoja again. By the way, there is no online scheduling for a space in line type as the other locations have due to it being a walk in type of locale - it explains this when I tried to schedule a space in line. Also, the prescription pickup at Ala Moana Center was about 5 minutes! It was packaged and just waiting for me to pickup!!!! Go here if you want the following: 1) Painless processing and check in and 2) Just great service! I do not have a primary care physician (never needed one for 10 years) but should I need continuous care or advise then this urgent care facility will be pestered by me! Thanks for the chance to share and thanks to all at Urgent Care Waikiki! more
