Avoid Cat Welfare Association in Clintonville! 10/1/2017

CWA says that it's priority is doing what is best for the cat. This is not true, however, because they will mark a cat as ready for adoption before the cat's medical issues have been determined and resolved. The best thing for a cat is to be healthy before it is adopted out. CWA does not fully disclose the extent or type of known medical issues or history prior to adopting out the cats. They say that is covered by the 30 day return policy, but what cat lover is not fully attached to the cat (as well as the cat being attached to its person) by 30 days? CWA shows no concern for matching cat to owner, suggesting cats with expensive medical issues to people on small fixed incomes, who could not possibly afford to maintain the cat long-term. CWA responds coldly and callously to requests for assistance with very sick cat they have adopted out. It seems their priority is to adopt out quickly the cats with the most expensive medical issues, rather than adopting out the healthiest cats while getting to the bottom of the ill cats medical issues and providing complete and accurate information to prospective cat parents. It is a recipe for unnecessary heartbreak. more
