The same thing happened to me a few yrs back in Feb. 2012 at Seven Hills Vet Clinic in Aurora,.CO. My puppy, Bella, was vomiting, had bloody diaharea. I took him into a "respected" vet who diagnosed her w/ coccidia & proceeded to give her meds accordingly. Of course, NO parvo test was taken or it would have undoubtedly shown positive. I gave her the coccidia meds as instructed and she was dead in 9 hours. No one or any vet can tell me otherwise. They treat us like we're ignorant passive trusting followers but ultimately this is his error, he was neglectful, and is responsible for the death of my puppy 100°. A simple parvo test would have possibly saved her life. I don't care what it would have cost me!! My advice - if you even suspect parvo, INSIST on the test. Hindsight is 20/20 but if i had thought she might have parvo, she could be alive today. As a postscript, i will never, ever forgive that quack of a doctor.
