Asking top dollar for old units. 10/8/2016

The places are old .. floors often settled/crooked and a/c not central. Its sort of like stopping in some small town in back country Georgia and renting a hotel room from a hotel that was built back in the 60's. The place claims to be animal friendly however be aware that 4 cats disappeared in my corner of the complex in the 2 years I lived there. They disappeared without a trace with broken hearted family's searching for some explanation. Keep in mind there are large predators in the woods surrounding the complex and nearby lake. Also large birds of prey in the sky. I made only 2 maintenance requests in two years and both were ignored despite asking several times. The patios are charming and the little sidewalks sort of quaint but not worth the price. Price is quoted to get you in the door then when lease is made up ...there are other expenses they tack on for the total rent to be paid. In an apartment complex expenses such as sewage and garbage, mandatory renters insurance and water are usually included in the quoted price up front ... not here though. They wait until you commit then add it on. They increased rent each year I was there plus introduced 2 new miscellaneous fee's while I was there. The places are very small and my cabinets were crusty for lack of a better word. The pest control is a guy comes by once a month and will toss a few crystals in front of your door .. you still have pests regardless. I moved in originally due to a situation where I needed some place to move into immediately .. don't recommend the complex due to the property manager puts work requests on the "back burner of priority" at least that was my experience. more
