BDLC used to be a great place but unfortunately the new leadership have created a hostile climate for families and our kids. So many nice families have left because they feel like they keep getting asked for more donations (and also hidden charges such as the "security charge") with little services in return. In the 2 years that we have been at BDLC, 4 of our children's favorite teachers have been "fired" because they fell out of favor with the "in clique" of teachers. We are going to leave BDLC as soon as we have another option lined up- I just don't want my kids exposed to the director's dictatorship and random firing of terrific staff and the infighting of the staff- it's not a positive environment for our kids. The plusses are that the food is great and the playground facilities are excellent. If you are thinking daycare in Bloomington, my friends recommend Global Village and also Montessori. BDLC is definitely a last resort.
