I was in there a few weeks ago and then one of my friends asked me if I had ever gone there. I ranted to her and then realized how completely dissatisfied I was with it. Upon reflection, this location has to be the worst Plato's I have ever set foot in. The aisles are crowded and so packed that when you pull out one item, the items on either side come with it. As if they know they won't be sold anytime soon and are leaping off the shelf, desperately begging you overlook their stains, holes, and general blahness. I found an item that had "as is" written on the tag and when I asked what was wrong with it the employees couldn't tell me and had to defer me to their peach of a manager who acted like I was trying to pull one over on her. One of the seams was coming undone, okay that's understandable as it has been used, but then she said it was a simple fix and that she "didn't sew." Like I do? I don't have a sewing machine so it is not a "simple fix." With that strange comment that "as is" item turned into an "AS IF!" item. More importantly, they knowing sell damaged goods and the only person who knows what is wrong with it is the condescending manager, who just repeats herself over and over even if you heard her the first time and are trying to walk away. I looked around the store some more and wasn't impressed. Granted, it is a second hand store, not everything is going to be an awesome find, but I found surprisingly little that was worth it. I could find similar, if not the exact same item, for less brand new on sale at a department store than I could at Plato's. I put back the other items I was debating on and left. Summary: Poor customer service, weird management, and bad pricing. more
