Bergmann’s rug pickup for us was scheduled for 6am. No show, even though it’s a nice day and we’re only about five miles away. Called them at 8:45am; driver was on some other runs, would be here 1030 or 1100. No apologies or even minimal concern.
Pickup man finally arrived at 2:04pm – eight hours late. Again without explanation or regrets. Seemed to think I should have tape on hand for him so he could roll and tape the rugs.
Things happen, but Bergmann’s failure to call me to give me a heads-up about a significant delay, and offer a different day or time, is inexcusable in what should be a customer-oriented service corporation, not even considering their extreme degree of unconcern and ho-hum-ness.
