We all familiar with the phrase, ‘you get what you pay for’, but this isn’t the case with Hillcrest Club Apartments, Plymouth, MI. We paid for everything and more but in return, we got an overpriced apartment, constant smell of second hand smoke and uncooperative, inflexible landlord, who’d enter our apartment without permission in our absence.
We moved into a two bedroom apartment in June 2014, at Hillcrest Club, Plymouth, MI. Just two days after moving, we discovered a strong odor of second hand smoke in one bedroom. Contacted the lease office, they sent someone over to look and said, ‘we are not a non-smoking facility and tenants under your apartment are smokers, and there is nothing we can do about it’. This was mentioned after we had signed a lease. This means, they knew there was a problem with this apartment. At this point, we have no option but to live here.
I wouldn’t recommend this place, unless you are comfortable with second-hand smoke and a landlord who visits your apartment with your permission in your absence.
