I contacted these folks early on 1/2/14 to fix a tub faucet that would not shut off completely & address the slow drain. Jay was to call 30-40 minutes ahead to let me know he was coming & was to arrive between 11 & 3. At exactly 3pm as I was there phone in hand to cancel the apt my door bell rang. Jay seemed to be very polite so I allowed him to come in and look at the problem. At 3pm I did not want to start over finding a plumber & taking another day off work. He looked at the two problems and said it was a simple fix but need to go to his truck for 10-15 minutes to configure a quote. I offered to let him sit inside, but he insisted it was easier for him in the truck. He came back in with an estimate of over $719. I said "I thought it was simple that doesn't sound simple". With a smile he brushed my comment aside & said that it's not hard but those are the prices. Note; that was the lower price providing I join the advantage club @ 16.95/mo, the higher price was without was $944. The total time in home under 2 hrs with 45-50 minutes spent on paperwork & talk. The only part needed was the faucet cartridge which costs approx $30-$70. I paid in the area of $650.00 for about an hour worth of labor. After he left I started to look at the bill which was simply a flat fee, something didn't feel right. When my husband came home from work he discoverd water leaking in the basement. It was from the main water valve which Jay had shut off to do the work then turned back on. My mind flashed back to his showing me the valve, telling me it was an old style and how I should be careful it was not installed securely & if it ever broke we would have major expense. He also asked if my husband was handy. He is not handy but also not stupid. The valve was left all the way open when it was turned back on causing water to run on to the floor. Charges are being disputed I hope somebody at this company has a conscience. What happened to doing business fairly & honestly???
