Bad experience 4/29/2013

I am really sorry to write this review.  I've been going to Kathy's for about two years.  The place itself is serviceable and I thought the mani/pedi's were fine.  That is until a few months ago when the manicurist cut me and I bled.  It happened a 2nd time and I decided not to go anymore, that is until yesterday. I was desperate to get my nails done.  When I walked in, Kathy told me where to sit and when I saw who was to do my mani, I asked her, very quietly, if another person could do it.  She said NO.  I told her this person was very rough and had cut me, she told me I had the wrong person.  My mistake was not walking out right then!  But (regrettably) I really wanted a mani.  Reluctantly, I sat down.  She kept hurting me with the cuticle cutter.  When I sat down after I washed my hands, she said to me, "you're bleeding."  Sure enough I was, right at a cuticle.  Kathy, the owner, walked a by and I showed her that I was bleeding.  She looked at my finger and said loudly, that's an old cut, it wasn't done here.  I could not believe my ears. She went on and on that I came in with it (I didn't). She also said this manicurist was one of the best and that she didn't cut me.  Meanwhile, I'm bleeding and it hurts.??This was a VERY upsetting experience.  What she should have said was, sorry. Another customer came over to me and said she will not go here again because of what happened to me and how I was treated. I paid and left and will never go back. ??BAD customer service.  Maybe this manicurist is not trained or actually licensed. more
