I found my wedding dress at Doreen Leaf, and so my bridesmaids could get a discount, got their dresses thru them too. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF THE WEDDING PROCESS. My wedding dress came in without a hitch, but when I went in to talk about alterations, they wanted to charge me $500 for a basic hem, taking in the shoulders and bust a little, and adding a modesty panel. Strike one. My dress had no lace or embellishments, so was a pretty simple alteration. I took my business elsewhere where they did the same alterations for $163. When Doreen Leaf gave me my dress, it was more wrinkled than a plastic bag. Strike two. They waited to order the bridesmaids dresses till everyone had their measurements in so they would all come from the same dye lot. The dresses were ordered in plenty of time, but when they came in, it turned out they were DIFFERENT COLORS. Strike three. Doreen Leaf didn't catch it till half the dresses had been picked up. Strike four. They refused to apologize, claiming no fault, and said they would send them all back and try to get them in before my wedding date. They said they would give my girls "free alterations" for all the hassle. The dresses came in the two weeks before the wedding. My girls went in for alterations, and picked up the dresses just in time for the wedding. To our horror, when they got dressed ON THE WEDDING DAY, we discovered that Doreen Leaf didn't hem the dresses like they said they would, they just IRONED THE HEM UP. Strike five. Whenever the girls sat down, the hem would unroll, and by the time they were ready to walk down the isle, half the dresses hems were unfolded.
DO NOT GIVE DOREEN LEAF YOUR BUSINESS. They are the worst vendor I have ever worked with. Not returning calls, not revealing all the policies, not owning up to their mistakes, and lying. I am disgusted with this "company". Please don't make the same mistake I did!!!
