I was saddened to learn recently that Dr. Van Trease has sold the practice and will most likely not be returning. I will miss his enthusiasm, passion, and what another reviewer called "detective approach" to medicine. I loved visiting with him. He made you feel like he really enjoyed being there with you and your pet. I just don't get that feel from the other vets. I feel rushed by the younger vet, and wonder if she even remembered me or my pet after the visit. Worse, are the office practices....mixed up appointments, insistence on being paid before the treatment, the unwillingness to work with people on a payout plan (I'm told they can't have any debts as they are going into new ownership). Still, I am one of their oldest clients, going back over 25 years, prior to Dr. Taylor. My parents, also long-time clients, are so offended by this recent treatment, that they have decided to go to Dr. Brad Singleton (a former vet with SLAH). He is now with South Branch, on Slaughter. And there is a reason his practice gets five-stars - he is awesome. Unless things improve at this clinic I may start going to him as well!
