First of all..most of the people who come to Bobby's have never ridden or have very little experience. I grew up down the street from Bobby's and I still work there. I'm 19 years old now and have seen Bobby's at it's worst and best. The business has been running for over 40 years so I don't see how first time riders are going to say they don't recommend it. At the beginnin of every day we thoroughly brush our horses and make sure that they are clean before tacking. And i don't know a horse who doesn't like to go roll in the dirt after a days work. Horses arent going to listen to the rider unless they stay focused and pay attention to what we tell them. Don't you think it would get aggravating having people on an animal as big as a horse is and not listening? If we have to use a firm voice to garuntee safely then that we will do. We work long hard days and the last thing we need is for people to blame there bad experience on us. And if your children's feet do not reach the stirrups then they shouldn't be on a horse until the are tall and strong enough to be. Horses aren't perfect animals and you should always be cautious and aware when riding, no matter how experienced you are. The people who appreciate what we do, and the children who's faces light up when they ride for the first time and fall inlove, is all that matters to us at the end of the day.
