This salon gets by solely on the atmosphere. The people who work there are stuck-up and think because they wear "hipster" clothes and play indie music and serve you tea while they cut your hair that they're so cool.
They simply will NOT do anything to your hair they THEY don't want to do. I went in to dye my hair blonde and they didn't want to do it and kept telling me it was because they wanted to "protect" my hair, when I know it was because they didn't think it would look good on me. I had never dyed my hair at this salon but I've been told in the past by several professionals at various salons that my hair is great for experimentation because it is very healthy and strong.
They were also very patronizing while they spoke to me. I would ask a question and the girl, "Tallie" would roll her eyes and say "stay with me". In the end, I got my hair done by a family member who went to beauty school. But not before making an appointment with Alchemy and "forgetting" to show up.
