Mr. Knight told me over the phone that his company could repair the gas logs in my fireplace. His employee came to my home and removed the log which had a valve on it and said he would come back when he had replaced the valve. Days later the employee returned with the log but I was told that they couldn't find a valve to replace the old one and he refused to reconnect the log and leave it in the condition in which he found it. I wrote to Mr. Knight and told him that I felt he should have reconnected the log and that he was responsible for any damage to my home or to me as a result of disconnecting the log, and in a letter a few days later he acknowledged that he was responsible because his company was the last one to work on the gas logs. Weeks later I found a local company that could and did repair the gas logs. They replaced the faulty valve without any difficulty and now I can again enjoy my fireplace. I think the employee that Mr. Knight sent was too inexperienced to do the job.
