My friend and I have recently started taking our ferrets to LFAH since our long-tem vet has recent retired. We have both been extremely happy to find a vet who has experience with ferrets/surgeries. Dr. Colllins has demonstrated his interest and dedication to state-of-the-art ferret medicine, including the use of Deslorelin implants for treatment of ferret adrenal disease. Further more, my friend's ferret came into the hospital in EXTREMELY rough shape on an emergency basis. Dr. Collins was able to stabilize the ferret and remove a large obstruction/hairball from the gut thus saving the ferret's life. We have also been impressed with Dr. Collins' sensitivity toward the ferret's individual needs. He avoids stressing the animals with diagnostic procedures unless he feels the procedure is necessary.
