I have NO problem paying for a cake when I know the price of it. My husband and I went into the bakery to place an order and was told our cake would cost about $65 BUT they would call me "tomorrow" if the price was way different because I depending on what the difference was I may not get the cake. Suzzie told me I would be able to cancel the order and get a COMPLETE refund of my deposit. Everything sounded GREAT. I NEVER recieved a phone call so I called them. I was told that the cake we wanted would cost us a total of $50. I replyed Great see you Saturday! Well when I went to pick up our cake I was under the impression since I put a $40 deposit down and the total was $50 I'd owe $10...It's not that hard of math! They told me I misunderstood and the BALANCE was $50. I explained everything to the employees there including the owner. I also requested my $40 deposit to be refunded because I was not interested in a cake that feeds 8-10 people for $90. I was denied a refund by the owner because he said "It is not HIS fault I misunderstood" Even though I explained what I was told by HIS employees it was MY fault...PA Bakery will get MY business...As a matter a fact we went there and spent $60 on 2 cakes...It would have been the same amount of money spent if we would have just taken the cake at Dingeldein's but I can't see giving that owner ANY business. VERY VERY SAD way of doing business! Would NOT recommend this Bakery to anyone. I wish I could have given ZERO stars but that was not an option.
