didn't buy a ford though... I bought a used Toyota. The salesman was good, not overly pushy, and let me inspect the car a lot. He let me drive it, and the entire experience was fine. They negotiated at a reasonable level, and the transaction was smooth. They even mailed us our vehicle tags. We did pay cash, so we didn't go through the finance dept. But the car was great, sale was great. I don't know why there were so many negative reviews.
