Good: Nothing. Bad: Generic treatment plan inappropriate to my condition. Carelessness, in approach to emotional complications, dismissive and critical comments by staff and MDs. Restraint in zipped bed without attention to toileting, and ignored by staff as I cried out for help. I later read in my chart that they had labeled me "difficult". Lack of patient involvement in plan of care.. Improvements: Psychiatric consult for patients, and training for staff to better treat emotional sequlea of TBI. Re-orientation skills devoid of ridiculing patient. Understanding that it may be difficult to awake to news of condition, and that some things may be not born of personality but rather related to brain injury.. Other: I am a nurse, and found the experience to be humiliating, embarassing, and painful. I was deeply saddened..
