Our spiritual home 4/24/2010

In an effort to find a church that would welcome a mixed-faith couple and have an excellent RE program for children, we stumbled upon ESUC. What a wonderful place! The congregation is warm and welcoming - the message is positive, yet spiritually and intellectually stimulating. This church challenges us to be better people to ourselves, others, and the world around us. Unitarianism is a creedless religion. There is no dogma. Instead, UU's adhere to a set of seven principles: 1 The inherent worth and dignity of every person; 2 Justice, equity and compassion in human relations; 3 Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations; 4 A free and responsible search for truth and meaning; 5 The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large; 6 The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all; 7 Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part. If you believe in these seven principles and try to live according to them, then you are a Unitarian Universalist. Come and join a community of like-minded people! more
