The Oregon Humane Soceity is a wonderful, caring organization and I highly recommend it if you are looking for an animal addition to your family. My 8-year old dog and two 3-year old cats were all adopted there as a puppy/kittens and I would absolutely adopt from there again - I have even volunteered there!. Yes, my kittens had mild upper respiratory infections when they came home (the cat equivilent of kennel cough), but all they needed was a little TLC and after a week or so they were healthy as could be. Shelter animals may need a little extra care when they first come home, but they are in better shape than many from anywhere else, especially pet stores! OHS saves thousands of homeless animals every year and should be supported in this important effort.
