The tea is warmed by eclectic cozies, and quilts and vintage clothing are tucked along the walls. A space large enough for hours of treasure hunting is made intimate by individually-themed rooms. Old fashioned ice cream and gourmet cupcakes add to a mouth-watering menu.
On special days, a live piano player brings to life a time when not all sweet sounds were electronic. The antiques range from rare and old to enchantingly faux. We go to Ruthie's to relax in our chairs and let the conversation flow. There's even a children's menu. I'm especially interested in a new event for 2009: Trick or Treat for UNICEF, a reflections of the fifties. Enjoy!
