Dr. Rigtrup and Dr. Hung are great doctors. When your child is sick, however, you have to take whoever has availability which in our case has been Dr. Paisner about 95% of the time. Several times he has been condescending or downright rude; at one point when I suspected my daughter had strep (I had it and she was showing the same symptoms) he got annoyed that I was asking her to be tested and only agreed to do so because, as he put it, in rare cases strep can get serious and with HIS luck she'd be one of those if he didn't test her. With HIS luck? I thought my kid was the sick one - and the test is a mere swab of the throat. He acted as though it was all a big inconvenience to him. With his attitude, it got to the point where I would feel uneasy about calling when my children got sick because I was worried that I would have to deal with him - not a good thing when your child is ill. Dr. Rigtrup is fabulous and has told me to trust my instincts - he is a great doctor. Dr. Hung is lovely too. Unfortunately, I can only be sure of getting them when I make well visits, and it is when your child is sick that you most need someone to listen and be reassuring and not a condescending jerk.
