Although the Athenaeum is completely gorgeous, I was shocked at how terrible the customer service was. There were hidden fees, we were yelled at by the general manager for paying ahead of schedule, and felt like we were doing them a favor by having our wedding reception there. Once they got the money, they didn't want to help anymore. Awful, highly discourage it.
