The State Theatre in Traverse City has now been fully restored. Handicapped accessible, beautiful cushy seats, a sound system that rivals any other theatre I've ever been in, a theatre organ, and so much more. This theatre is supported by volunteers and serves as a community center for debates, sporting events and the opera and is a focal point of the downtown district. Offering .25 cent matinees, mom and baby screenings, black and white classics, and the occasional free screening. When in Traverse City do not miss a chance to view a meaningful movie in this step into the past with all the modern movie going experience. Don't forget the popcorn!
