Although it has been 7 years since I have been in there, I remember the owner as skilled, knowledgable, opinionated, and not very nice at all. While the three former often lead to the latter, as a new bassist I was looking for information and not scorn. It seems my limited funds and lack of orchestral blue blood were not worh his presence or one of his instruments. "You did not buy that here. Get it out and don't bring it back" were the phrases I left with. Again, he is knowledgable, skilled, and deserves his opinions. I hope over the last few years he has switched to decaf.
