bought a wood fireplace insert from Royal Fireside. I used for about a month when the door gasket became frayed. I called and they said it was a known defective design and that the manufacturer had not used the appropriate high temperature tape. They promised to order a new gasket because they had taken care of the warranty on my behalf when I purchased. They claimed to have encountered a number of gasket problems with the same model insert. However, it is now 6 months later and they still claim to have ordered the part for me, but I still don't have it. The chimney sweep stopped by to clean my chimney and told me that the gaskets are easy to get. Hence, although I had recommended Royal Fireside to a few friends and they had purchased from them, I no longer recommend. Beware of these guys. They take your money but aren't too concerned about customer satisfaction.
