These guys sent me a flyer in the mail and it was good timing because I had a pine tree I needed to remove which was in a tricky spot above a patio and right next to the neighbor's property. Their bid was way lower than the other two I got. I was a little skeptical so I looked them up and read some negative reviews here. I decided to go with them anyway, but was very specific with the way I wanted things done. They did a great job. The only reason I don't give them 5 stars is because they do use an answering service, which was a little annoying when I was trying to coordinate with them the day before. But otherwise, they did a great job, followed all of my instructions to a T, cleaned up thoroughly and did it all safely and for a good price. more

I don't recommend them however if you do decide to use them make sure you oversee their work because they won't come back if you have any problems. more

I hope I had read some reviews on the site first before I had J & J trimmed my trees. Supervisor Rene is a very ir-responsive person. He never shows up on the site after contract was signed. Workers failed to finish the job, and he never wanted to complete the work after checked was issued. I shouldn't pay the bill so quickly. Now, I have to hire others to finish the work he supposed to do. Reported to BBB and BBB agreed this company is bad. more

I got J&J out of Angies List. Good reviews. Rene came out and gave me yes a fair price, 300.00 to cut down part of a a very large tree, near my property edge, and a fence that divides it. I had just fixed this fence not more than 6 months ago. And repainted it. They cut the tree but totally scratched up the fence, and worse yet damaged it. It has come slightly undone from the post. When I left Rene a message about this, he never called back. When I left another message with a different name (and a potential customer), he called back. I told him who I really was and about the fence situation. he promised to come out and see it. But did not. I left another message, no reply. TOTALLY UN PROFESSIONAL. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK! more

J & J arrived on time for both the bid and the project. Their prices are very competitive.They trimmed the trees exactly as I asked, people were friendly, worked quickly and efficiently. Clean up was excellent. My job was supposed to take two days, but a second crew came toward the end of the day to help them complete it in one day. I highly recommend this company and have referred them to all of my friends. You won't be sorry if you use J & J Tree Service. more

Some trees will take years to look good again. Also, the men didn't know how to put vitamins for trees in properly, and their boss was not around. Pros: They showed up. Fire hazard was reduced. Cons: Tree trimming was not done well. more

J & J Tree Service came to my house last week to remove a tree. They were very professional. First they gave me a free estimate and since it was reasonable they went ahead and did the job. The workers came on time and did the job quickly and effeciently. more

hezi cut down some trees, said he'd come back if they started growing back. well they started growing back at the stump but he sure didn't come back. he made at least three appointments for himself or his guys to come back care of it but no one ever showed and now i know they never will. called at least half a dozen times trying to resolve this nicely. zero response. ZERO. i answered his ad from a card left in my mailbox. will never do that with another contractor again. more
