I hired Zoom Plumbing, Tom Connolly, in October 2011 to perform work on a septic tank. I was quoted a price range of $3,000 to $3,500 for the job, the final invoice was for $7,069. There was no notice of a price increase, there was no change order given, just a final invoice for more than double the original quote. \r I will never use them again. more

Fortunately someone informed me about Zoom. I called on a Saturday night around 8pm with a completely blocked sewer line and an overflowing toilet. My late night phone call was answered and the repair was scheduled for 8AM Sunday. A knock on the door was heard Sunday morning around 7:55am. The blocked sewer drain was repaired and the price was as stated. Simply Amazing. more

Leak Detection Drama! First, we called a well known ""well advertised"" plumbing company to find our underground leak. The plumber spent most of his two hours getting instructions from his shop before he admitted that he wasn't qualified and didn't have any leak search equipment. The second plumbing company we called, put on a great ""dog & pony show"" before they suggested calling in a professional leak detection company. We called the gentleman they recommended. It looked like he had all the toys and experience necessary to find our leak. After spending close to three hours trying to find our leak he informed us that h e was late for his next appointment and drove away. Our neighbor suggested calling Zoom Plumbing. The owner Tom Connolly arrived at nine am as promised the following morning. It could be luck of the Irish or the lifetime of plumbing experience that drew him (like a magnet) to the spot where the leak was. He jackhammered the concrete. dug a hole and repaired the pipe. In the meantime, his helper picked up some concrete. They filled in the hole and replaced the concrete to professional standards. All of this work was carried out in less than four hours and for under a thousand dollars. I must say I was very very impressed with Zoom Plumbing from start to finish. I was treated with respect.My home was treated with respect and everything was explained to me in great detail without having to ask. Zoom Plumbing, you really are the greatest. Leaking Toilet! My wife and I are avid DYIs and in the process of fixing one plumbing problem (successfully I might add) we discovered another problem that was beyond our skills. We made an emergency call to Zoom Plumbing and they had someone to our house within a couple hours (on a Sunday)! The customer service person on the office phone was very friendly and helpful Tom (the plumber who came to our house) was great. Very professional, personable, and knowledgeable. He not only fixed our problem but he took the time to talk to us about other problems we have and he showed us around our furnace room and explained the various shut off valves etc. Thank you Tom. Waste Pipe Leak I called 3 contractors to get their quotes and feedback. One didn't show and the other competitor ended up being 4 times the cost!!!!! Although R…R….. was friendly and knowledgeable, my jaw hit the floor when they gave me the quote from their 100 page price book. When Carlos came over he was really friendly, honest, and when he gave me a quote I was pleasantly surprised. Before he did any work, I made sure to review everything the previous plumber told me to ensure I was comparing apples to apples. After the job was complete, we chatted for a while, as he was a very friendly guy. Overall a great experience and he answered a bunch of questions I had about work I want done in the future. While showering this morning the water level in the tub began to rise. And rise. And rise. But it wasn't just the tub, the sinks in both the bathrooms and kitchen were also backing up. Not good. We tried to plunge and clear it but the water would not go down. We're new at being homeowners and didn't know exactly who to turn to. When we read the recommendations of Zoom Plumbing’s customers on citysearchwe made the call. We're really glad we did. They fit us in really quickly - they were at the house within an hour of our call - to accommodate our availability (it was either now or we go without water for 24 hours, not so easy with a one-year-old child. They came over, snaked it all and cleared it all out very quickly and cleaned up completely after the job. The plumber also pointed out a drain in the front of the house that needed to be attended to, taking the time to put the camera in to show us the issue for ourselves. Our neighbor told us to check out, zoomplumbingatlanta dot combefore we called any plumber in Atlanta. After seeing there positive reviews online there really wasn’t any other choice. The technicians arrived right on time, they worked quickly and efficiently, and had our bathtub working again in about half an hour. They were even careful to knock quietly when they arrived after seeing baby toys in our living room! While fixing the tub the technicians realized our toilet was also running slow. On Thursday afternoon Tom from Zoom Plumbing showed up right on time to look at a clogging problem on our second floor bathtub. Although he snaked out huge chunks of hair that had accumulated in the pipe over the years, the drainage strangely didn’t improve much. So, he came back later that evening with his co-worker and camera to investigate the main source of the problem. Soon we found out. Our 60 year-old house’s clay sewer pipe under the basement had been invaded by tree roots. This meant having to break the tiles and the concrete in the basement and replace the clay pipe with a new PVC pipe. Naturally, we were distressed having to face a rather serious problem, and anticipating all the things that could go wrong during the process of fixing it. In the following 5 days, however. I had confirmed why a good service company could make a big difference in one’s life. All of the Zoom Plumbing guys were punctual, professional and never wasted time. The workmanship was excellent. Because my home has become a rental property, my home insurance no longer covers sewer backup damages. The insurance company suggested that I have my sewer line examined to determine its condition. At the same time I had a very slow drainage from my tub in the basement. The team that came was polite, efficient and as happy as I was to learn that my sewage line was totally clear. I knew It, after reading all these great reviews I knew when I called to have my Toilet drain cleaned I would have to wait. I called last Wednesday and found out they were booked until Friday. Since I had 2 other bathrooms in my house I was not desperate. Tom was on time Friday and found it was a simple over use of toilet paper problem that only cost me $99:95. I’m glad I decided to wait.
