Zoo Printing

I am puzzled by Zoo. Sometimes my jobs are ontime and even early. But other times they are days late. And offer no restitution or apology. The prices are good. The turnaround is very deceiving. The quality is above average for what you pay. Overall I can use them if it is a easy job, there is no expected delivery date from your client, and it is very affordable. But when you run into a hitch it takes days for them to fix, or reply, or solve problem. And everyone in customer service, even the managers are rude, unhelpful. I am a small offset printer with limited capabilities. I decided to broker printing with Zoo Printing over two years ago to be able to offer my customers full color options. I have found their prices are great and so is their quality. I admit there have been times that I wish their turnaround was quicker but mostly the problem is that I want to make every customer happy today and that I live 3 days UPS Ground away. I just give my customers a proper ETA that fits in with Zoo's turnaround and the shipping time. 99.99% of the time my customer is so happy with the product when it comes that the length of time it took and the price didn't matter. I find their customer service to be excellent! I get quick responses from the Ticket system on the website (allbeit a generic response at first) if you keep it going you get real help. I have found Ceaser to be an ultimate ally when there is a problem. I have spoken to him by phone multiple times. When I was having trouble with a file in prepress, he sat with me on the phone while he tried to fix it for me on his end. When I have had color issues, he has always come through for me. When I don't get a response that satisfies me from the ticket system, I email him. Frankly, I would have 80% less business without Zoo and I don't know what I'd do without them!! I think that the attitude you have with people makes a big difference on the service that you get. We all have bad days and you never know the workload someone is dealing with when you call. Wow - this company wouldn't put me through to a manager until they looked up the volume of my business. And then they didn't care to help me. I got three different answers to the same questions, routed around forever, and RUDE customer service. Zoo printing and their staff should be ashamed of themselves. Each time we placed on order, an issue arose. The ?Manager ?Carlos is so condescending. He tries to make you feel stupid and irrelevant, as if your print job does not matter to them. I stopped over there a few times to pick up some work, the owner of Zoo Printing Dan Doran, had all 3 of his Exotic Sports cars (Sliver Porsche, Orange Lamborghini, and Yellow Ferrari) parked out front on display. If this guy only knew how much this type of stuff lowers employee morale.... esp. his pressmen working in that environment, inhaling all those toxic pressroom fumes/ toner chemicals.
