Zola is one of the few fine dining establishments within State College that goes a little experimental with their menu items. You will find many classic items that have been adapted into more fusion/eclectic dishes. The taste is okay, but a little too salty. Also, a few times that I have been there, the ingredients were not too fresh. It would not bother me so much if their prices were more reasonable, but I think as it stands Zola is simply not worth the money.
The decor inside is very nice, and offers one of the few chic places inside State College, but really, that isn't saying much.
