Best

I normally hate taking time for reviews but was so impressed with Zen Experience that I had to do one. I went for a couples massage with my husband who normally does not like spas...

Worst

I took my teenage daughter there to experience the oxygen bar, as I tried it other places and it was great.

Very accomodating and flexible 6/18/2011

I made a mistake when ordering a gift certificate online thinking I would get a $20 gift certificate with $85 purchase when in fact it was well mentioned by them that it was for a minimum of $100. After sending them an e-mail with the question, they still sent me and e-mail with an attached $20 gift certificate although I messed up. I really appreciate this extra mile they took. Normally other places will say that they are sorry but that is their policy and stick to it. more

Great prices for quality 5/14/2011

I have had a really nice experience at Zen. Their massages are very good and by now I have tried all their therapists. Some of them have been there for a long time and the new ones do an excellent job as well. Recently I tried their $39 facial which was more than worth its price. She used an organic skincare which was fabulous and I will be back for more!! more

I have been to the Zen Experience 10 + times now and it gets better every time. I see Achana most of the time. She gives a fantastic massage. She knows what I like and she does those things, while also trying different massage techniques. more

Knowledgeable Esthetician 10/27/2010

I first went to Zen Experience to have a Deep Tissue massage due to my high stress levels, after browsing their site for a little while I came across the service for corrective facials, so I decided to give it a shot since I've been struggling with acne for quite a few years now. Nahla, the esthetician, has been extremely helpful, very friendly, knowledgeable, and takes her own personal time to research and find something that will work for your situation. more

The WORST Place EVER!!!!! 10/24/2010

I have recently been to the Zen Experience and it was anything but that. After making an appointment I was told that my massage therapist was running late, so I had to wait over 20 minutes for my appointment. I finally got into my room and it was so filthy! There was clutter and crap everywhere! But the cluttered rooms weren't even to worse part; I actually saw mice running around to store and could noticeably see mice droppings everywhere! I swear it looked like the store hadn't been vacuumed in a month! I will never ever go back there! I can?t believe how disgusting that place was! Trust me if you want a relaxing massage do NOT go to the Zen Experience! more

Great services and prices 8/30/2010

I had a wellness pack gift certificate to Zen Experience and am so glad I went to use it. This place is more than worthwhile! I had my best massage ever. I loved the asian atmosphere and staff. They offer a wide variety of services and several great value packages. I also heard from a friend that they do great facials and will try one next time. My advice is to try them. more

Excellent quality for price 4/18/2010

Excellent massage and facial experience. I definitely recommend this friendly Spa. The massage therapist did a wonderful job with my tensed neck and shoulders and I feel much better after working a whole day on the computer. I also did an Oxygen facial which left my skin absolutely amazing. The esthetician is very knowledgeable and professional and has 20 years of experience. I also liked their organic skincare line and was not pushed into the usual sales pitch which made my experience much more relaxing. Pros: quality of services and price Cons: none more

The best facial in the twin cities 2/13/2010

Diane is the best esthetician in the Twin Cities! She has been serving clients for over 18 years and really knows how to do a facial. It starts with warm steam after a soothing cream to remove make-up. After the steam comes a cleaning out of your pores so you get rid of the blackheads, etc. Then a mask taliored to your skin type (dry, oily, acne prone). All of this is followed by hot towels out of the steamer. She also gives a wonderful upper back and neck massage. Very relaxing and your skin looks fabulous afterward. I had the oxygen facial which plumped up my skin and felt wonderful. Highly recommend this place! Pros: Experienced esthetician, warm steam towels, great products Cons: none more

Fantastic facial 11/28/2009

I had never tried their facials as it is a new thing for them. I used their package which was $49.99 for 1hr facial and then a 10% off as well on 1hr massage. The esthetician was really experienced as advertised and I really adored their new organic line. My skin was just unbelieavable! Pros: best facial and massage Cons: none more

Better than large spas 10/29/2009

I have been a customer for 5 years and I find that they get better and better.It seems they are constantly trying to improve. Many Spa's I've gone to do not offer the style of massage which they offer since these are therapists trained specifically for massage and not esthetics. Their training is very different. I still love going to a large Spa but if looking for a good massage this is the place to go. I also recommend the couples massage. The room is beautiful. During the week I go during my lunch break for a quick chair and that works great. By the way they are cheaper than the people in the center of the Mall and here you enjoy privacy. In my opinion, Ocean Waves is the best of the best. Their staff is highly professional, respectful and very personal. Atmosphere is serene, very inviting, presonalized, etc, etc. Check out Niki, she is from Thailand . She is sharp, perceptive and knows exactly how to personalize her services to meet your needs. Tanya is awesome as well. Don't even bother checking out other places, you will be welcomed with open arms the minute you walk into Ocean Waves. A great escape in Southdale 7/9/2009

Having been to Thailand, I've wanted to replicate the awesome massage I had there. I found it at Ocean Waves. Nikki and the other therapists are great. They know how to manipulate you! Excellent massage & value 5/7/2009

I love this place! It's convenient, has great therapists and great prices. I came into Southdale the other day for the movies and Cheesecake Factory and while going down the escalator saw Ocean Waves. Since I had some time on my hands I went in for a chair massage and liked it so much that I had to book for a full hour which made me miss my movie but it was more than worth it. I was lucky they had still a therapist available and the staff really helped to coordinate my last minute decision. The therapist really made my back so much better and I came out feeling like jello. The room was beautiful and had all these fake candles which made it very relaxing. It reminded me of a Spa I went in Thailand so it took me in a virtual travel. The sound was excellent and I was cradled to sleep. I have gone twice since that day and have had excellent service and always great therapists. You must try their Thai Yoga massage as well. It really loosens you up. Pros: price and quality Cons: for me there were none more

Try the Thai massage 1/8/2009

This was my first visit to the spa...the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful ( I asked about the thai massage and it was explained in great detail) when I originally called to set up my appointment for my massage. I was little hesitant about trying the thai massage, so I went ahead with deep tissue massage. However, the staff at the spa arranged it so at the end of my deep tissue massage, there would be enough time for Nikki to give me a little "introduction" to Thai massage! I am so thankful that I had this opportunity and now know that my next massge will be the Thai massage with Nikki. I'd like to thank the guy at the front desk today (and I do apologize cuz I don't remember your first name) who made sure I was able to get my 60 minute massage in today. The customer service provided was outstanding. Pros: friendly staff, the atmosphere Cons: I didn't schedule a thai massage for this visit more

Great reflexology and deep tissue massages! 11/18/2008

I am very happy with the foot reflexology treatments and deep tissue massages I have experienced at the Ocean Waves Massage and 02 Lounge. Since moving to the Twin Cities I have had tried several reflexologists and none compare to the reflexologist that gave me my last two foot treatments at Ocean Waves. He did an excellent job massaging my feet and with his expertise finding the needy trigger points in my feet. Pros: Polite, professional staff. Cons: The ladie's room is outside the space. more

Great value massage 10/31/2008

Great massage therapists. I decided to upgrade and did as well a Thai massage. My back felt great after the treatment. I also recommend the Sound Wave table with a foot or hand massage, it totally relaxed me. The massage rooms are very comfortable. Pros: near to movie theatre and restaurants more

GREAT SHOPPING BREAK 11/15/2007

Ocean Waves has always been on my menu when I go shopping or to the movies. I love the flexibility of being able to get a short or long massage. I also tried the Oxygen recently for a headache and believe it or not , it worked!! I love them!! Pros: massages by the minute or hour, service, relaxing atmosphere,kind people Cons: very small but I heard they are moving to a more spacious location in the Mall more
