We stopped at Zen 721 because it was the closest Japanese restaurant our GPS picked out after 10 hours on the road. Although a mostly random choice, it turned out to be a good one! The sushi options were limited (just 2 types of nigiri and a few basic rolls) but what was offered turned out to be creative takes on the basics, and also delicious. The entree's included Japanese and non-Japanese options and the other members of my party enjoyed some yummy Tilapia tacos and yakisoba with chicken. Although I have not eaten at other restaurants in Amarillo I can say that this was a better than average place to stop off the road, and a pretty good place for Asian fusion. An added bonus after a long drive: VERY clean facilities and extremely welcoming staff.
Pros: clean, well prepared food, friendly staff
Cons: a little to expencive for the food quality
