Zarda barbeque is lousy in all areas od service. They refuse to help you when lines are way backed up. The service there is lousy and you don't get a good deal for the price you p...

Best BBQ in Kansas City!!! 1/21/2009

I like several BBQ joints in Kansas City... and I will say that the only bad one isnt even from Kansas City...And who goes around claiming they are famous anyway? Thats like the kid who came up with his own nickname in elementary school, and ate his boogers during reading time. I think that Zarda BBQ Is probably my personal favorite, and is to me, the definition of Kansas City BBQ. I do not see how anybody could say that they "refuse to serve people if they are busy"...Does that even make sense? Would a business refuse to serve if they are busy? Are they not there to make money?...and if they are busy...and there is a long line...doesnt that mean they are good? In all honesty....Zarda Has around 6 people with individual registers up front checking people out. Most I others I have seen have maybe two...and some even have one. Those place will get lines because only one person is able to take thier order. If Zarda has a line with its 6 people taking orders at one time and they were so busy they refused to take orders...hmm...that must have been some crowd in there...and they must be doing something right. I have seen wal-mart have less registers open than that. If you dont want to stand in line, how about you go on down the street and get a nice Arby-Q for 99 cents. I think that would be a little more your speed. Pros: Good BBQ great service Cons: Not a downtown location more

Excellent service 12/1/2008

We ordered several dishes from them for a business party. They came out on time & set it up beautifully. They were friendly & smiled all the time. They were happy to help us with any thing that was in need. I loved the food & would call on them again. Excellent service & Thank you. more

Poor Customer Service.... slow... Pros: High quality meats (not all that nasty fat) Cons: Not Friendly anymore more

KC BBQ at its Best! 6/28/2006

I don't even like meat but I love Zardas! Everyone there is like family. They have the bests moked meats. They also have the city's best salad bar! They have a private room for large gatherings. Soups & desserts are fabulous as well. I ask for gift certificates here every Christmas. They do have a drive thru. Prices are higher than McDonalds, but you're eating the greatest tasting food. And their french fries are better. more

My personal choice 6/10/2004

Zarda barbecue is a cornerstone in Kansas City Barbecue. Since Zarda Barbecue is arguably the best barbecue in Kansas City and Kansas City is the barbecue capitol of the world; by logic, Zarda ranks right up there as the best barbecue in the world. Best BBQ in world after Bryants & Gates. Great ribs and briskets. Great sides and wide selection. You just won't get a bad meal here, ever. Clean and roomy & handles large crowds. Brisket is juicy and tender. I never get burned ribs either. Everything is fresh. Its about as perfect as AB's or Gates. Pros: Superior Food, Great Selection, Fast Service more
