Bethlehem lost a fine citizen, and a Great Oral Surgeon. 3/15/2011

This is certainly not the Dr. Zahm that I new. He took very good care of me on several occasions. He took care of my first wife, and my sister. My sister was only 18 when she had her wisdom teeth out. Maybe his ""Bed side"" manner was a little unconventional, but he was a fine dentist/oral surgeon. If I'm not mistaken he was also a licensed Anesthesiologist. You had the best of both worlds when Zahm took care of you. His office walls were covered in Thank You letters and drawings and such from young patients. I recall one young patient thanking him, in a letter, for building a cage for her rabbit! I don't know many Doctors that would have gone out of their way for child in that manor. It's a shame that this type of review has to follow Dr. Zahm since he has since passed away. The City of Bethlehem has lost not only a fine Oral Surgeon but a fine citizen as Dr Zahm was very active in the community. God Bless you Doc! I know I'll miss you. more

IF YOU NEED TO HAVE A CHILD TAKEN CARE OF PLEASE AVOID THIS DENTIST 12/13/2007

I took my seventeen y/o daughter to Dr. Zahm to have her wisdom teeth removed. This is a child that has never had anydental work or other medical procedures done. She was aware of the fact that an IV line would need to be started. She was scared, even through given oral sedation prior to the procedure. When she asked if I, her mother could come back to the room, the nurse told her no, that it was a surgical area.( I understand this perfectly) my daughter became upset and began to cry. Dr Zahm turn to her as said ""oh what a baby"" this was enough, she left the chair and came out, followed by the nurse and Dr. She told me what he said, and he did not deny it, he just stared at us. We left, I will not expose my child to this type of unprofessional behavior and I hope that you will not expose your child to this verbal abuse either, Pros: inexpensive dental work, good for non-insured Cons: poor bedside manner, unfeeling staff more
