Over priced for the worst than Lee Ann Chins 1/26/2009

Yummy should be sued for false advertising. Way over priced and food tasted bland and not fresh. Service was ok maybe because I'm Asian. Pros: Non Cons: everything more

We love Yummy's! 3/17/2008

The food is delicious. We've eaten Dim Sum in many cities including Seattle and New York and think Yummy's is excellent. Some of these reviews seem overly concerned with ""speedy service."" If you are dining out, why not relax and enjoy the company of those you are dining with, instead of worrying about the haste of the service? We've found the staff to be friendly and always kind to our small daughter. She will eat as many of the shrimp and broad noodle dish as we will give her--she loves it and asks to come to this restaurant by name. (We've been eating here a few times a year for three years, so our daughter has been loving this food from ages 3 to 6.) Pros: easy parking, good value, delicious food more

Horrible service 2/17/2008

I would give yummy a 1 star cause the service is horrible. We had to wait 25 minutes to even order at that was because we asked if we could order. The food was then delivered and we all didn't even get our food. We had to ask for our food twice. Three people received their food after everyone was done eating. The waitresses were sitting on the ground behind the cash register, where we could see them, and were not helping us. We then had to ask for our bill as well. I would not recommend this place. Service was horrible, and the food was not that great. more

great variety, nice atmosphere 7/6/2007

It was my first time to Yummy Chang's, and I loved it. They have $1 beer on weekdays (not friday's). The menu had the regular americanized chinese food, plus some items I have never seen before. They have a great selection of seafood, I'm guessing fresh from the tank. I was not in an adventurous mood, so I ordered the mongolian beef and the general tso's chicken. Both were fantastic. For two people with $1 beer, the total was $23. The serving sizes are really big, so we'll have at least two more meals out of it. I'll definitely be back! more

dimsum 5/1/2006

A warming service with excellent dimsum. For some reason it's better than the last time I had it. I guess with the new owner and menu, quite the pleasant place to go out and eat at even on a late friday or saturday because they are open till 3 AM. I love the P tips w/ garlic sauce and for seafood, a fresh crab from the tank cooked in Hong Kong style. Looks like Yummys is stepping up in food quality and service. Pros: parking, service, live seafood Cons: martinis more

Great place for Dim Sum 1/10/2006

The service we received at this restaurant was excellent and the food was to die for. The waiter was very nice and attentive and we did not have to wait, although it seems as if he was the only one working that day. I would highly recommend this restaurant primarily for the good food and good value. Pros: good parking, inexpensive, fast service more

the food was very good, nobody brought us a menu, service was horrible, had to go up to the counter to get the bill, Pros: food Cons: service more

Yummy was yummy! 6/12/2005

Although they had a wedding reception/dinner going on the food was out very fast and it was good! The waitress and other staff were very attentive. I was impressed. Pros: Inexpensive more

Has gone downhill 6/5/2005

2005: Our more recent trips to Yummy have been disappointing, reflecting the comments made by others. When Yummy first opened the service was poor, but it offered good food at a good price. Alas, prices have gone up a couple of bucks across the board, but the food quality has gone down. Service has improved, but if the food isn't...well, yummy, then who cares? A sad turn of events, it doesn't seemed to have dampened the place's popularity...which may be why it has happened. 2004: We found the main course items we ordered to be excellent. Yummy's support staff still seem to be climbing a steep learning curve, so what they provide varies from excellent to dismal, and your experience is likely depend on who's working that night. But the ambience is dandy, the food is a good value, and you have to love the name. Pros: Free parking onsite, Nice ambience Cons: Poor value, Inconsistent sides more

Yucky 4/7/2005

Fell for the hype and went to Yummy. The food was below average Chinese food, and the dim sum was like ""instant dim sum"" where they popped it in the microwave. Really disappointed. The service was ok - considering there wasn't that many people there when I went. Pros: free parking, nicely decorated Cons: service, food more

Not So Yummy 12/26/2004

The service was awful. Every time my partner and I needed something we had to wait 15 minutes before our server came over. This included when we first arrived, waiting for a server to come to the table to greet us. I feel like the meal was maybe worth half the price we paid and that could be a stretch. My partner and I's food came out about ten minutes apart. The food was mediocre, even compared to Chinese food that costs half as much....We will not be going back. Pros: good parking Cons: , cold in restaurant, overpriced more

Less Yummy than Rainbow 7/23/2004

Having heard the buzz about this restaurant, I was excited to try it. However, I was greatly disappointed. As other reviewers have noted, the service was extremely poor. This aside, though, I found the food to be mediocre. While I tried several dishes, little seemed to be much better than any of the quick take-out places I've frequented (although more expensive). If you are on Nicollet and need a Chinese place to go to, go to Rainbow down the street. It actually is the best the Twin Cities has to offer. Pros: Ample Parking, Free Mints Cons: , Overpriced Food, Echoing Acoustics more

Yummy is overrated 7/22/2004

Server ignored us whole time, even to get order. We were reprimanded by 'kitchen boy' not to make requests with him but to ask our server, who NEVER made her rounds. Food did not arrive timely; unprofessional service overall. Automatic gratuity for larger tables is complete rip off - we did not get the service we were obliged to pay. Food isn't bad, but I've definitely had better. more

Good food 5/15/2004

An authentic place for good Chinese food, albeit a little more expensive. Seafood appears to be their specialty although the rest of the dishes are pretty good as well. Service fluctuates, but no worse than most Chinese restaurants in general. Pros: Good menu, good parking, great ambience more

You're Kidding 12/19/2003

We tried Yummy. It got a great ""editorial"" review. Has the bar really been lowered this much? It barely seemed like a restaurant. Most of the food tasted as though it had been bought pre-made and heated-up (and not enough at that) and the staff seemed to be more concerned with some game they were playing at the front counter than about us or any of their costumers - no one ever checked back and we sat with empty water glasses from the beginning until we had our coats on. Yikes! Pros: parking Cons: service, food, atmosphere more
