This place USED to be good. But over the past year or so it has really gone down hill. The seafood is overpriced and the last couple times I have bought shellfish it has been way below average and rank smelling.
Produce is still above average. But how great can a red onion get??
The beef was loaded with fat and dye, for as soon as it got home it turned some awful grey color.
I used to put up with the crowded aisles, frigid temperature, and odors of yet still undetermined origin; but that was when they had GREAT stuff.
Now that it's wares are mediocre, it really is intolerable.
Plus, most of the staff do not have a basic comprehension of the English language. So, if you try to complain all you get is a refund in the form of vague hand gestures and blank stares.
Pros: spices, carnival atmosphere, many coffee varietals
Cons: bad fish, carnival atmosphere, crummy beef
