I first met Gina in Phoenix when we both worked at The Healing Joint. At first, to be honest, I did not think I wanted to have a nutritionist because I thought it meant a lot of lectures on things I should not eat, and judging the things I ate. I was overweight and did not feel well. Gina talked me into doing a yeast cleanse. It was not easy, but she did it with me and was available every step of the way with questions. I was so glad she talked me into it. I felt AMAZING afterwards! Not only did I lose 18 pounds, but I was filled with energy! Along the way I learned so much about food.
The best part of her program is that she does not just say eat this...don't eat that. She EDUCATES you on why. I thought I knew about food, and it turned out that I was wrong about a lot of things I believed.
My favorite thing about GIna and her programs is that she never judged me, or made me feel embarrassed or guilty for slipping up. In fact she admitted how hard it was for her too. This made me feel so comfortable with her. I have carried with me many lessons she taught me, even though we are now a thousand miles apart from each other. I refer to her book (I'd rather Scrub Toilets Than Cook) often. It is a great reference for a quick and easy healthy meal or snack. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to learn some of her vast knowledge.
Gina is one of the kindest and most caring people I know. She has such a comprehensive knowledge about food and nutrition, that I recommend anyone to take any of her classes. She is very supportive, no matter what level of nutrition or knowledge thereof you are. Thanks GIna! : )
