Young's Skating Center

The owner really makes her company look bad. My mother and I both purchased a pair of skates. My skates were great! I love them and they were making me skate better but my mother's skates on the other hand were defective. She was scared to death to wear them. I tried to skate in them and I couldn't at all. As soon as I got on the skating rink I got completely turned around from the skates. The staff was great and tried to accommodate me but nothing worked. When I tried calling the owner, she never got back to me. I had to call her three times in one week before she actually returned my phone call. Finally, when she did return my phone call, she was very IGNORANT! KEEP IN MIND I NEVER MET/OR SEEN HER BEFORE.... She was talking over me throughout the whole conversation. She said "Obviously your mother doesn't know how to skate"...but she doesn't know myself or my mother. This lady would not let me tell her my situation at all. And then she hung up in my ear! Before this incident, my fiance' and I started going to young's and we did like it. So we told our family and they started coming. We would go every wednesday faithfully and we loved it....besides the music. WE BROUGHT THIS LADY BUSINESS, WE PURCHASED THREE PAIRS OF SKATES FROM HER (WHICH WERE ABOUT $200 A PAIR). AND WHEN WE HAD A SITUATION WITH BRAND NEW SKATES....SHE ACCUSED MY MOTHER OF NOT KNOWING HOW TO SKATE! THE OWNER DOES BAD BUSINESS AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND NO ONE TO PURCHASE SKATES FROM YOUNG'S. I wanna say that I was judged but i'm not gonna make any assumptions. I'm just going to say that she is IGNORANT! THIS WAS MY EXPERIENCE.... more

Young's Skating Center is a great place to spend the afternoon with your family. They have a really nice skating rink and even offer lessons for those who are not as experienced. There is a large snack bar for eating goodies. They also hold birthday parties and you pay one price for everything, including the skates. They have many specials they run during the week. Weekends are busy with older kids, but go during the week night if you have young children. It's a nice way to spend quality time with your family. more

Young’s skating center is a great place to take the family for a fun night. Youngs has a section for little ones to learn to skate. They play great music that you get energy to skate. They have an arcade with good prizes for the kids. The snack bar has very good food. Youngs has great kids Birthday party packages, and will change to your needs. Young’s is one of the few skating rinks around. You can find a 50% off coupon in the phone book. They have special theme nights, call ahead to check which night will be best for you. We like the night were parents skate free! more

Young's was the place to go when I was a child and it is still going strong nearly 20 years later. It is the only roller skating rink in the area. At Young's you can arrange to have a birthday celebration for your child, take lessons, be in a hockey league, and do inline racing. What I like about it is the experience it gives children as something different, fun, and active to do. When we go on class trips there, my students have a blast! more
